We all love to get outdoors as soon as the weather warms up. Unfortunately, the trees and flowers are creating so much pollen, you can see waves and clouds of it in the air – and it will only get worse over the next month or two.
Many people are extremely sensitive to pollen, and the high volumes we experience in Middle Georgia can cause moderate-to-severe health problems in both young children and adults.
We talk a lot about air quality when we meet with our customers and other folks who are considering our maintenance services for their business. Just having filter changes as part of your service is not good enough.
There are many types of filters and filter systems to compare and fit to your specific circumstances. You need to consider the types of filters you’re using and adjust them as needed to ensure good air quality for your team.
Dental offices may require a specific type of filter for the fine particles created when drilling teeth and making certain fillings.
A surgery center may require HEPA filters that filter out more contaminants, but are much more restrictive to air flow. In these cases, the HVAC system often requires more capacity in order to heat and cool the facility adequately with the HEPA filters in place. We can work on balancing air flow to help.
With all that being said, who you use to handle your HVAC needs is so important to the life of your systems. But the comfort of your occupants is also of paramount importance. We see so many buildings and plants that are wasting energy and still not providing their employees with a comfortable work environment. It doesn’t have to be that way!
I will say this again- do not settle for high energy bills or assume that discomfort is a given. Even if you have decided it is hopeless, I promise you that it is not!
Call and ask for one of our sales consultants who can come assess your situation. We have a process that outlines your options so that you can understand them easily. We’ll have you and your team breathing clearer, pollen-free air in no time.
Stay safe – stay healthy!
